ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – April 6, 2012 – Kids, whether they are 4 or 40, love LEGOs and robots. Now they can satisfy both of these obsessions with a single event.

On April 15, 2012, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science will be hosting our FIRST Robotics day. Come see how champions play as Albuquerque’s own LEGO robot teams demonstrate the robotics expertise that won them the New Mexico State, Oklahoma and Colorado championships.

The event takes place, Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 12:00pm – 5:00pm at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science. The demonstration is free with paid museum admission.
FIRST is a non-for-profit organization designed to expose young people, ages 6-18, to career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math via accessible, motivational programs combining teamwork, competition and just plain fun.

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science preserves and interprets the distinctive natural and scientific heritage of our state through extraordinary collections, research, exhibits and programs designed to ignite a passion for lifelong learning.
