NatureScapes 2017: WATER

Winners Announced

Congratulations to all the photographers who participated in our annual photo competition, NatureScapes. This year, the theme was WATER and photographers explored the entire state to find water everywhere. We received nearly 100 entries and the judges were able to select thirty photos that show water in many different forms and interpretations.

Prizes will be awarded on Saturday, October 21st, 10-11am, during the exhibit opening and members preview.

Photographs will be displayed from October 21st, 2017 to January 19th, 2018. 

 

First Place: Virga (Cliff Wood)

Second Place: Sun Sets Over the Waters of Navajo Lake ( Michael Shaw)

Honorable Mention: Frog (Noreen O’Brien)

 

Student Winners:

Second Place: A Little Buggie (Axel Smith)

Honorable Mention: Thirsty Ants (Leo Unzicker)

 

This annual photo competition celebrates nature through the art of photography. Our vision is to inspire a greater appreciation and understanding of the natural world.
