June 10 through December 31, 2013 in the Space Science Gallery
This exhibit introduces visitors to the amazing Hubble Space Telescope.
See our universe through the eyes of Hubble…glowing nebula filled with star nurseries, a planetary nebula that looks like a cat's eye, galaxies that are giant glittering whirlpools, and the oldest and farthest galaxy we have yet seen at an amazing 13 billion light years away.
Learn about the space telescope and the astronaut maintenance missions that have kept it sending back amazing images of the farthest reaches of our galaxy and beyond.
Explore questions such as: How old is the universe and how do we know? What are the life cycles of stars? How may other galaxies are out there?
On display through December 31, courtesy of NASA Goddard Spaceflight Center. Free with Museum admission.
