After ten years roving Mars, the Opportunity Rover has officially taken the record in the Solar System for farthest distance travelled on another planet.  Our own Larry Crumpler has been on the team since the very beginning helping to plan its path.

The previous record was set by the Soviet Union's Lunokhod Rover on the Moon in 1973.
