SMNHC Summer Programs

The Sandia Mountain Natural History Center offers specialized programs during the summer months for scout groups, summer camps, and other outdoor enthusiasts. The SMNHC can design a program for your group's specific needs. Most of these programs include a hike, hands-on activities, and time for a picnic lunch.

Topics and activities that could take place on the hike include but are not limited to:

  • Leave No Trace Hiking
  • Birding
  • Wildflower identification
  • Geocaching
  • Bug hunts
  • Fire Ecology
  • Tracking
  • Tree identification

Cost:

25 or less people on a weekday...$60 
25 or less people on a weekend...$75
