Spring Young Explorers Camps 2025
DATES: March 17 - 21, 2025
Young Explorers camps are returning to the Museum this Spring! Join us as we explore topics like exploring Mars, New Mexico's ancient past, and the science of springtime. All camps are for children grades K-5 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
March 17- Ancient Life Comes Alive! (K-2nd and 3rd-5th)
The museum’s newest exhibit, Ancient Life, is opening soon! Have you ever wondered what New Mexico was like over 500 million years ago? What kinds of creatures roamed around our backyards? If you’d like to find out, join us as we spend the day exploring New Mexico’s ancient life forms!
March 18- Dino Day (K-2nd and 3rd-5th)
Do you love dinosaurs? If you said yes, then this camp is for you! Become a junior paleontologist as we spend the day exploring dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes throughout the museum.
March 19- Space Race (K-2nd and 3rd-5th)
Have you ever thought about flying to the moon or exploring Mars? Discover the machines that have made those thoughts a reality! Join us as we learn all about rockets and rovers that are already exploring our solar system and create a few of your very own!
March 20- Spring Science (K-2nd and 3rd-5th)
Welcome back spring! Soon Albuquerque will be filled with green leaves and amazing plants that we can observe and experiment with. Join us as we explore the return of warm weather, pollinators, and flowers.
March 21- Spring into Spring! (K-2nd and 3rd-5th)
Explore the potential of springs! Springs are everywhere, but do you know how they work? Become an engineer as we experiment with springs and discover how we use them every day!
Registration Details
Price per camp: $90.00 (Members: $82.00)
All camps are for children grades K-5 from 9:00-4:00
Drop off begins at 8:45 am
Aftercare is available from 4:00-5:00 for an additional $10 per day.
Two age groups for each camp: K-2nd and 3rd-5th
15 students max for each age group
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science reserves the right to cancel camps that do not reach a minimum of six participants. A full refund will be given if a camp is canceled for this reason.
