The Sandia Mountain Natural History Center is encouraging nature enthusiasts of New Mexico to participate in City Nature Challenge to explore nature in and around their communities and share their observations from April 24-27! The Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Silver City areas are participating alongside hundreds of cities across the world. Help showcase our state’s biodiversity, help us find more species than ever, and provide valuable data to scientists.
It’s easy to participate:
1. Create an account in the iNaturalist app or at iNaturalist.org.
2. Take and submit your photos (and sounds) of animals and their signs, plants, and fungi that you find.
3. Help identify others’ observations, and have iNaturalist and its community help you, thru May 10th.
