Taylor Ranch Library (5700 Bogart NW)Head to Taylor Ranch Library (5700 Bogart NW) for a lecture on keys to the early Solar System led by Ashley Bear, Masters Student at UNM's Earth & Planetary Sciences program.
Ashley's talk will focus on Oxidized type 3 CO Carbonaceous Chondrites. These are a type of pristine (have undergone little alteration) meteorite that holds clues to early solar system materials and processes. Her studies are looking at how they have and may have been changed in small ways, what those changes are, and their implications.
