Portable Planetarium at Taylor Ranch Library

Dec 6 2025 - 11:00am to 12:00pm
Location:
Taylor Ranch Library (5700 Bogart NW)

With the Museum temporarily closed for a renovation project, the museum’s team of educators will be bringing natural history into the community with a full slate of public programs in Bernalillo County libraries and community spaces during the fall months. Join us at the Taylor Ranch Library as we search the night sky and explore the solar system in the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science’s portable planetarium system.

Information about the Taylor Ranch Library is available HERE.

About the Program: Visitors can search the night sky and explore the solar system in the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science’s portable planetarium system, provided by The Albuquerque Astronomical Society. Audience responses guide the content of the live show, with choices ranging from flying to planets or gazing at constellations. If there’s a space-related reading theme at your library, programs can be customized to encourage additional exploration. Roughly 30 minutes, ages 3 to adult.

Price:
Free to attend.
