A geologic map is an amazing 4-dimensional data array that delineates the location, type and age of the rocks around you. New Mexico’s landscape is a perfect example of dynamic, primary geology; and as you travel around the state, a geologic map can help you understand how and why the landscape can look so different in different parts of the state and the link between landscape and geology.
Join geologist and educator Jayne Aubele to learn how to make use of this amazing tool. This is an adults and older students-only class. No prior knowledge of geology needed.
Price: $20 for the general public, $15 for Museum members, and $10 for students. Cost includes a copy of the New Mexico Geologic Highway Map. Preregistration is required to ensure the proper number of New Mexico Geologic Highway maps.
