The museum is officially open, but the museum’s team of educators are still bringing natural history into the community with a full slate of public programs in Bernalillo County libraries and community spaces during the spring months. About the exhibition: New Mexico Rocks! is a specially retrofitted 38-foot RV exploring New Mexico’s regional geology though a hands-on science exhibit. Geology is the study of Earth: what it is made of, how it was made, and how it is still being shaped. This exhibition explores the state’s “geoscape,” which can be divided into 5 regions. New Mexico Rocks! meets NM STEM Ready! Science Standards.
